After the Supreme Court rejected the pleas from the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh governments to ban the film Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone visited the popular Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai on January 23, 2018. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali film has been through a lot of controversies in recent times, but has come out with flying colors with a complete clearance from the Censor board as well as the Supreme Court.
Deepika appeared in an ethnic outfit as she visited the temple to seek blessings for her upcoming flick which also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. The Bajirao Mastani actress looked pretty in a white anarkali outfit with minimum make-up. As soon as the news spread of Deepika’s visit to the temple, fans flocked to catch a glimpse of the dimpled beauty.
Deepika Padukone had faced a lot in the Padmaavat controversy up to the extent of getting death threats by the members of the Rajput Karni Sena. One of the members of the community had even declared a prize money for those who can chop off her nose.
The film is now free to be released on January 25, 2018.
