Veteran singer Bhupen Hazarika has recently responded to medicines and treatment after a long time but is still critical. The 85 year old singer has been admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai since 30th of June and showed sings of improvement on 1st November.
The doctors had said that they had put the singer on dialysis after both his kidneys had failed. After he had responded to the treatment, the doctors put him again on dialysis for the second time.
According to Jayanta Saha, the in charge of the media relations of the hospital had said that the singer had developed infection due to his long stay in the ICU. Saha added that apart from medicines and treatment the veteran was also played one of his songs by a doctor on his mobile phone.
Hazarika had responded by some movement in his closed eyes as well as lips. The doctors have hoped that they would get some positive response from the singer in the next couple of days. On 30th June the singer was admitted to the hospital after he had complained of breathlessness. The condition of the singer deteriorated last month after he had developed pneumonia. Later Hazarika had to also go through a minor surgery.
