Poorna press meet sees the presence of successful women from different fields
A number of top celebrities from Bollywood attended the press event for the upcoming movie Poorna in Mumbai on March 21, 2017. The press event included filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, actor and social activist Rahul Bose and leading journalist Barkha Dutt, among others.
The upcoming movie is based on real life of Poorna Malavath, who became the youngest girl to reach the peak of Mount Everest. Being an almost impossible feat that has seen thousands of international climbers try to make it and fail. Some even lose their lives to conquer the summit of Mount Everest.
The press event also saw the presence of Founder of Raay Media Pvt LTD, Amit Patni. Patni, at the event said, “Normally, film promotions are big on celebrity quotient and low on content, but the Ladkiyan Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hain conclave is big on both, celebrity quotient AND content”.
In order to give importance to the theme ‘Ladkiyan Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hain’ (girls can do anything) distinguished women personalities from different fields like Zoya Akhtar, Barkha Dutt and Sakshi Malik were invited, who narrated their respective journeys. Each of these awesome women have overcome their own obstacles and conquered their own summits to reach the pinnacle of their careers, in what would usually be considered a male-dominated world.
The upcoming movie is written and directed by Rahul Bose and is due to hit theatres on March 31, 2017. Make sure to take all the strong women you know to theatres and support this one!
