Legend Vinod Khanna admitted to the hospital due to severe dehydration
Veteran actor turned politician, Vinod Khanna was hospitalized in Mumbai as on April 2, 2017. The actor was hospitalized at the HN Reliance Foundation Research Centre in Mumbai due to severe dehydration. The legendary film star is currently preparing for his upcoming movie Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi, but missed the trailer launch event due to his illness.
Son and fellow Bollywood actor Rahul Khanna talked about his father’s health and said that he was admitted due to severe dehydration and is doing much better now. The family members of Vinod are not revealing a lot of details about his health but have assured the media and concerned fans that he is improving and are waiting for the hospital to officially discharge him.
Vinod Khanna was last seen in the movie Dilwale, in which he played the role of Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan’s father. The actor will now be seen in Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi, playing the role of the king of Gwalior opposite actress Hema Malini, who will be seen playing Vijaya Raje Scindia. The yester-year co-stars are re-visiting the big screen together after decades. For Hema Malini, this is a comeback of sorts after she took a break from films to concentrate on politics. Vinod Khanna and Hema Malini will be seen on the big screen since the last movie they did together, Tell Me O Kkhuda (2011) that also starred Hemaji‘s daughter, Esha Deol.
Vinod Khanna has been active in Bollywood since the ’60s and has worked in some of the noteworthy movies like Amar Akbar Anthony, Inkaar, Lahu Ke Do Rang, Qurbani, Jurm and more. In recent times, the actor also played an important role in Salman Khan’s Dabangg.
