In an interview with Bombay Times, Akshay reveals that “Once during the shoot, I was traveling by road with the film’s writers Siddharth-Garima, when I noticed that the truck ahead had the line ‘Hans Mat Pagli Pyaar Ho Jayega’. I felt that it went with the milieu of our film and asked the writers if they could pen the lyrics with this hook line. We have four desi romantic numbers in our movie.”
Talking about the song, Bhumi Pednekar,“By the time we finished shooting this song, the villagers had taken to it. There’s a certain innocent flirtiness to the lyrics, which you instantly connect with when you listen to the song. It also shows how romance in small towns and many cities begins. The songs have an old school melody that seems to be missing in soundtracks these days. Hans Mat Pagli has many beautiful moments. In fact, all the songs take the story forward. You’ll feel the emotions the lead characters go through during the course of their love story.”
