In yet another shocking incident of ill-treatment of women in the film industry, it has been reported that Tollywood actress Scarlett Wilson was driven to the verge of slapping her co-star after he wouldn’t stop misbehaving with her on sets.
The incident occurred on the sets of a Bollywood film, Hansa – Ek Sanyog which stars Scarlett in an item song. Reportedly, her co-star, Umakant Rai was seen making crude gestures towards her even after Scarlett made several attempts to thwart his advances. But Umakant continued to misbehave and touched her hair, owing to which Scarlett Wilson lost her cool, slapped him and walked off the sets – halting the shoot.
After the incident occurred, actor Umakant Rai was thrown off sets and his misdemeanor has been reported to the Film Federation of India. He is now expected to publicly apologize to the actress, failing which his acting license can be permanently revoked. Film producer, Suresh Sharma, who was present on sets when this incident occurred, has confirmed that he has filed a formal complaint with the FFI, however, it is still not clear if a police complaint has been filed yet.
