Indian fashion designer Masaba Gupta and husband Madhu Mantena attended the court proceedings for their divorce at the Bandra’s Family Court in Mumbai on March 13, 2019. The couple have decided to get divorced after three years of marriage. The estranged couple has been living separately since their public declaration of trial separation in August, 2018.
Some of the close friends of the couple said that both Madhu and Masaba presented a dignified appeal in the court. Reports also say that Masaba refrained from exerting her rights for alimony provision. In 2018, Masaba and Madhu had issued a joint statement and shared that they are separating on mutual consent.
Masaba had shared on Instagram, “With a lot of sadness, Madhu and I have today decided to go on a trial separation in our marriage. Both of us have taken this decision in consultation with professionals and our parents.” Ever since the public announcement, Madhu and Masaba have been cordial with each other and continue to be friends.
The designer has moved on to expand her horizons as a designer and has multiplied her flagship store in India. On the other hand Madhu has been channeling his energies in to some of the big projects like the Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 and Ranveer Singh starrer 83.
