Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will soon be seen playing the role of actress turned politician Jayalalitha in a biopic known as Thalaivi/Jaya. The story of the film has been written by Vijayendra Prasad. The actress in an interview said that she knew Jayalalitha as an actress but did not have any idea how she was as a person. Kangana also expressed that she was blown away when she read her story and it presented an image of the late politician that was contrary to what Kangana had in her mind.
The Queen actress added, “It’s a story that needs to be told and I am happy to be telling it even though she was the absolute opposite of me.” Kangana while talking about Jayalalitha said that she was more sophisticated in her choice of words and was always lady like no matter what she was going through. The actress also said that the former actress and politician had risen over every controversy and adversity and could also identify with her spirit through her styles of expression.
Kangana Ranaut also revealed that Jayalalitha was a person who was emotionally dependent on people like her mother MGR and that such people had also pushed her to become an actress and a politician even though she did not want to become one. The Simran actress added that the former politician had taken charge of her life and went on to become a bigger actress and a politician.
