Irrfan Khan starrer Angrezi Medium, which is the sequel to the 2017 comedy flick Hindi Medium, will be released on March 13, 2020. The film was earlier expected to be released on March 20, 2020 but the makers decided to pre-pone the release date by a week. Angrezi Medium which also stars Kareena Kapoor could have clashed with the Janhvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena biopic, but her film will now be released on April 24, 2020.
Her film Roohi Afzana, which also stars Rajkummar Rao will be released on June 5, 2020. The news of Angrezi Medium getting pre-poned was confirmed by producer Dinesh Vijan and added that the film is very special but the lead star Irrfan Khan will not be able to promote the flick.
The producer was all praises for other filmmakers in the industry who were ready to exchange their dates to make adjustments. The film Angrezi Medium is a story about a relationship between a father and a daughter, who wishes to study abroad in a very reputed university and how the father, who is an ordinary businessman in a small town, struggles to gather funds for her studies.
The film is directed by Homi Adajania and also stars Kareena Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Deepak Dobriyal and Ranbir Shorey.
