Akshay Kumar donates Rs. 2 crores towards Mumbai Police Foundation

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has once again showed his generous side and donated Rs. 2 crores to the Mumbai Police Foundation as the nation continues with its fight with the coronavirus pandemic. Param Bir Singh, the Mumbai Police Commissioner took his Twitter account and thanked the Welcome star for his generous contribution.

Akshay responded to the tweet and paid tributes to head constables Chandrakant Pendurkar and Sandip Surve, who passed away due to complications caused by coronavirus. The actor also urged other people to come forward and donate towards the foundation and reminded people that people are safe and alive because the police are doing their duties.

Akshay has earlier donated a hug sum amount of Rs. 25 crores towards the Prime Minister Cares Fund that is helping people to contribute towards the nation’s fight with the deadly virus. Apart from Akhay many other celebrities are doing their bit to contribute towards the pandemic and are helping the under privileged to meet ends.

On the work front, Akshay was last seen in the film Good Newwz which also starred Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. The actor has a number of films which are lined up for release in 2020 and 2021 and include Laxmmi Bomb, Prithviraj, Sooryavanshi and Atrangi Re.
