The entire film and the TV industry has come to a halt due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. While the shooting of all the TV shows have also been halted, superstar Amitabh Bachchan has shot for the selection procedure for the 12th season of the popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati from his residence. It seems like the TV industry does not want to waste any time to wait for the lockdown to be opened but are doing every possible thing to keep things rolling.
The selection process of the fresh season is all set to go digital and it was filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari who remotely directed the registration promo that featured the Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum star. Mr. Bachchan in the new promo can be seen inviting the fresh KBC aspirants by saying “Har cheez ko break lag sakta hai, par sapno ko nahi (Everything can take a break but not dreams). Tiwari said that every year they come up with the theme and this year the circumstances that they are in have helped them to make the context.
The director added that Kaun Banega Crorepati is something that is more than game show and is an opportunity to realize one’s dream. Nitesh shared that he had first filmed a scratch film with himself to give Mr. Bachchan an idea about his vision and later the Amar Akbar Anthony actor shot the entire film at his residence all by himself.
Registrations for the fresh season are all set to begin from May 9, 2020.
