Ever since the lockdown has been announced in India, celebrities from Bollywood have come up and constantly tried to help people who have been struggling to find means to fulfill the basic needs of their families. After Aayushmann Khurrana, Sonu Sood, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor has now come up and helped the background dancers with whom he has worked in films.
The shooting in Bollywood industry has been stalled as a measure for the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Kabir Singh star transferred money directly to the accounts of around 40 dancers he has worked with and has promised that he would continue to help them for the next 2 to 3 months.
Reports say that the actor shortlisted the names of the background dancers who are in a bad condition at present as they are out of work. Apart from the 40 dancers, the actor is also providing monetary help for about 20 dancers from Bosco’s dance troupe and 20 from Ahmed Khan’s group.
On the work front Shahid was last seen in the huge hit Kabir Singh and is all set to be seen in the upcoming film Jersey. Kabir Singh was a remake of the Telugu flick, Arjun Reddy. The actor was paired opposite Kiara Advani.
