Indian actor Akshay Kumar is all set to be seen in the upcoming film Mission Cinderella which will have a direct-to-digital release. Akshay recently wrapped the shoot of the film and is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film Ratsasan.
Reports say that the actor will be seen playing the role of a cop and will be sharing the screen space with Rakul Preet Singh. This will also be the first time Akshay and Rakul Preet will be sharing the screen space. The film will be released on the popular OTT platform Disney+Hotstar and is produced by Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani.
Reports say that the film will be released in 29, April 2022 but the official announcement is yet to be made by the makers. This will also be the second film on the OTT platform after the successful release of the film Laxmmi.
Some of the earlier reports say that Mission Cinderella is not a big-screen material which means that it might not be able to attract the audience to the theatres due to which the makers decided to go the OTT way. The Tamil film Ratsasan starred Amala Paul, Vishnu Vishal and Sarvanan. The story of the film is about a psycho killer who makes young girls as his victims but manages to escape from the police.
