Ayan Mukerji helmed Brahmastra: Part one – Shiva took nearly eight years to be released in theatres ever since it was announced. But the sequel of the film might not take that long. The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer flick released in theatres on September 9, 2022 and performed well at the box office. The climax of the film revealed the title of the sequel Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev.
While the audience is now waiting for the next part to be released the director has given an idea about when it would be released in theatres. Mukerji revealed that they have set a target to release the film by 2025. The filmmakers have said that they have learned from mounting VFX-heavy part one. Ayan also said that he cannot reveal much about the film at this moment but added that it will be more about the story of the antagonist. The antagonist is Dev and the internet is coming up with its own theories about who will be playing the character.
Ayan also said that the sequel will be switching between the past and the present and will show how the Dev impacts the universe. The first part was an introduction of how the Brahmastra universe works. The filmmaker has assured that the second part is where the story will actually take flight.
