Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar is all set to make his Marathi film debut which is based on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Akshay will be seen playing the title role and is helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The film has been titled Vedat Marathe Veer Daulade Saat. Akshay Kumar shared the first glimpse of his role through his Instagram account.
The Khiladi star has had a successful span in Bollywood and is not heading towards regional films. The post shared by Akshay has shown him dressed up as Shivaji Maharaj. The actor with his make-up and body language has left the audience impressed due to his uncanny resemblance to the Maratha warrior.
The Marathi film debut of Akshay has left the fans curious and has also increased the excitement to a new level. The story of the film is about seven valiant warriors who have a common aim of bringing Shivaji Maharaj’s dream of complete swarajya (independence) in to reality.
The makers of the film are planning to release in 2023 but have not yet come up with an official release date. Vedat Marathe Veer Daulade Saat is bank-rolled by Vaseem Qureshi under the banner of Qureshi Productions and will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Marathi and Telugu languages. On the work front, the actor was last seen in the film Ram Setu.
