Indian actress Rani Mukerjee is back playing another powerful role with the upcoming film Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. The makers have unveiled the official trailer of the film on February 23, 2023. The story of the film is inspired by true events.
The trailer begins showing Devika Chatterjee, who is living the perfect life with her husband and two kids in Norway. But her life takes a harsh turn when her children are taken away by the foster care system due to the cultural differences. The foster care had explained that the Chatterjee family was being investigated for nearly 10 weeks and had claimed that they were unfit to be parents. The system had also claimed that Devika was mentally unstable. The trailer also gave a glimpse of the shady part of the foster system which forcefully enrolls as many children to the system so they get more money from the government.
However, Devika does not give up and decided to fight to get back her children at any cost. The story is based on a real story about the courage of Devika Chatterjee who is determined to protect her children. The film is helmed by Ashima Chibber and is bank-rolled by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment.
Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway is scheduled to be released in theatres on March 17, 2023. The makers have shot the film extensively in Estonia and a few parts in India. Rani was last seen in the film Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021 and is now ready to be seen in a powerful role as a strong willed Bengali woman fighting to protect her children against the corrupt foster system. It will be interesting for the audience to see Rani play an inspiring character of a mother who is determined to get back her children. The makers had dropped the poster of the film last week.
