The latest action thriller and love story ‘R…Rajkumar’ is another entertainer from filmmaker and choreographer Prabhu Deva. In addition, the movie marks another big release of Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, who have now become two very popular names in the industry.
The story is about a rebellious guy Romeo – played by Shahid – who works for a drug smuggler and then falls in love with a village girl, played by Sonakshi. However, Romeo has to fight with various baddies in order to make his love story successful. The flick features plenty of violence and plenty of love, as promised by Shahid in the promos.
The good part of the movie are its songs, which are foot-tapping and appeal to younger generation. Dances are of typical Prabhu Deva style and definitely manage to entertain the audience. Shahid managed to pull off the rowdy role well, with splendid dance moves, but the only thing which has gone wrong is that his role of a demolition man does not suit his body figure. Meanwhile, Sonakshi has some good lines, but does not have anything new to offer to the audience.
The movie is a good entertainer, but it can seem too plain and quite predictable at times.
