Bollywood Garam: In some good news for all Sridevi fans, the ‘Hawa Hawai’ girl will soon be returning to the silver screens after a gap of 14 years. The actress has decided to return to the industry with the movie ‘English Vinglish’, which will be directed by Gauri Shinde.
This will be the first time Sridevi will be working with a woman director. Earlier, the actress was supposed to return to the showbiz with the sequel of Mr. India. But the actress will now be seen in Shinde’s ‘English Vinglish’.
The director is actually ad film maker Balki’s wife. Balki had earlier made the movie ‘Cheeni Kum’ with Amitabh Bachchan and Tabu. The work on ‘English Vinglish’ is supposed to start from 7th July.
When the actress was asked if she felt disconnected from the industry all these years, she said that she had enjoyed being at home and raising her children. The actress has in recent days lost plenty of weight and is looking beautiful as she used to look in the movie ‘Chaalbaaz’. Sridevi said that she is nervous as well as excited upon the thought of facing the camera after such a long time. Even her husband and children are excited about her returning to films.
