BollywoodGaram.com: The makers of the upcoming movie ‘Kochadaiiyan’ have postponed the release date once again. With the recent announcement, the box office clash between the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ and the Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Kochadaiiyan’ has been averted successfully.
The upcoming flick ‘Kochadaiiyan’ is said to be India’s first motion capture animation film in 3D and was supposed to be released on April 11, 2014. This is the same day when Bachchan’s highly anticipated ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ is releasing as well. However, the release of the Rajinikanth-starrer movie has been delayed again, which allows the makers to finish the post-production work.
The filmmaker Murali Manohar said, “We are looking at a new date. Yes, we’re looking at the one mentioned by you. The censoring of Kochadaiiyan in all the various languages is not yet done.” The movie stars Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone opposite the South superstar Rajinikanth. Meanwhile, ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ is the sequel to the 2008 movie ‘Bhoothnath’, which had Amitabh, Juhi Chawla and Shahrukh Khan.
The sequel is set against a backdrop of the Lok Sabha elections, where a ghost fights the polls against a corrupt leader. The film is set in a chaotic urban locality where a fearless street kid resides. ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ also has Boman Irani and Parth Bhalerao, while Shahrukh will be seen in a cameo appearance.
