Bollywood Garam: The eight season of the most popular reality show on television, Roadies ‘Shortcut To Hell’ was won by Aanchal Khurana. The win gets a little bit hyped because its been five years that a girl has become a winner on the show.
Earlier, Parul Shahi had won the show in the year 2005. Despite facing so many challenges and allegations that she was not worthy and competent enough, Aanchal had proved herself after she was announced as the winner at the finale.
The 22-year-old came out victorious after fighting it out with the other finalists Mohit Saggar and Suchit Singh. The winner at the finale was decided with the help of the popular ‘vote out’ session. All the ex-Roadies and the senior Roadies had participated at the vote out session to decide the winner of the eight season of the show.
Aanchal had won nine out of 10 votes. Most of the contestants who had voted for Aanchal had said that they wanted a girl to win the show. The Delhi-based girl has done a fashion designing course and is also taking formal training in acting in Mumbai and hopes to join Bollywood. Aanchal told the media that she would like to try her hand in showbiz after she finishes her studies. The second runner up on the show, Suchit, was given a Karizma ZMR.
