The actor, Amitabh Bachchan, who has given some of his magical years to Bollywood, is now ready to go the Hollywood way. Bachchan has been asked to do a role in a Hollywood flick, opposite the popular actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

The ‘Shahenshah’ actor has been asked to do a small role in the movie, which is a film adaptation of The Great Gatsby. Mr. Bachchan has not asked any remuneration for the one scene appearance in the movie.

The 68 year old actor on his blog had said that it was a friendly gesture towards the director Baz Luhrmann. The shooting has already begun in Australia.

The story of The Great Gatsby is of the high society in the US set in the 20s, which was the golden age of excess before depression. Bachchan on his blog had written that Luhrmann had visited his office last year, when he was in India and had then presented him some paintings. The director had then called the actor last month and offered him the role, to which Bachchan agreed. Bachchan has already gone through the script and was also a part of the shooting in Sydney. The actor said that it was a wonderful experience for him to be a part of their team, who had worked so much in detail.
