In a novel promotional bid for Mardaani, actress Rani Mukherji associates with Support My School Campaign.
Bollywood actress Rani Mukherji promoted the ‘Support My School’ campaign and visited the girls school – Priyadarshini Vidya Mandir School – in Mumbai on August 6, 2014. The actress interacted with the students and distributed ‘Mardaani’ medal of bravery to the students. This is obviously a part of the promotional activity surrounding Rani’s upcoming Pradeep Sarkar movie ‘Mardaani’.
The ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ actress interacted with the media and said, “Support my School is a great initiative. Girls drop out of school because they don’t have toilets, and other basic amenities. It is such a sad thing to hear something like that.”
Mardaani will mark Rani’s comeback to the big screen after a long hiatus post her wedding to Yash Raj honcho Aditya Chopra. The two got married in April, 2014 at a hushed hushed ceremony. Rani came out with the news to the media post the wedding ceremony which is said to have taken place in Italy.
This upcoming film will see the feisty bong beauty play the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy, who is a Special Crime Branch officer tackling the horrific child trafficking ring in the city.
Mardaani is all set for release on August 22, 2014.
