After the makers of the movie ‘Don 2’ sold the satellite rights even before the movie was released, the makers of the upcoming movie ‘Agneepath’ too sold the rights for Rs. 41 crores to Zee Network. In Bollywood it has now become a trend to start making money even before the movie hits the theatres.
Some of the popular trade analysts like Taran Adarsh opined that it has now become a common phenomenon and he wasn’t even surprised about the amount for which the rights of the movie was sold. Adarsh said that earlier all the rights of all the movies of Hrithik Roshan have sold in high rates but ‘Agneepath’ has broken all the earlier records.
Reports have even said that Hrithik’s earlier movie ‘Krrish 3’ have been sold for Rs. 37 crores. Agneepath is the most awaited movie of the year 2012 and is all set to be released on January 26, 2012.
The cast of the movie includes Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra and Rishi Kapoor. The movie has been directed by Karan Malhotra and is produced by Karan Johar. Dutt in the film will be playing the role of the main villain with the name ‘Kancha Cheena’. The first look of the movie was released by the makers in the month of July 2011.
