Indian filmmakers Farah Khan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Subhash Ghai, Mahesh Bhatt and Prakash Jha attended the book launch of popular lyricist Anand Bakshi’s son Rakesh Bakshi in Mumbai on August 10, 2015. The filmmakers launched the book ‘Director’s Diaries – The Road to Their First Film’.
The book has also marked Bakshi’s debut as an author. The author has narrated the incidences of his early life and the career of India’s top 12 directors. The book has also focused on the changing phase of the Indian cinema.
Some of the directors like Tigmanshu Dhulia, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Anurag Basu, Imtiaz Ali, and Govind Nihalani have shared their views for the book.
