Bollywood actress Freida Pinto’s movie ‘Trishna’ has got a limited release in America this week. The movie has been directed by Michael Winterbottom and has gone through various film festivals before releasing in theatres.
The movie also has Riz Ahmed along with Freida in the lead roles. The flick is an adaptation from Thomas Hardy’s novel Tess of the d’Urbervilles. Trishna narrates the story of a woman whose life has been destroyed by the combination of love and circumstances. The movie has been set in contemporary Rajasthan where Trishna played by Freida meets a young British businessman Jay Singh played by Riz.
