Bollywood star Aamir Khan, has always helped his nephew Imran Khan to establish his foot in the film industry. After casting Imran in two of his productions ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ and ‘Delhi Belly’, Aamir will be starring opposite Imraan in upcoming Raju Hirani movie ‘Peekay’.
The movie was earlier offered to the stars like Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh but they did not show much interest in the project. This was when Aamir suggested his nephew’s name to the casting directors.
Reports say that Ranbir and Ranveer had walked out of the project due to the reason that the role was to play the second fiddle to Aamir. These factors did not go down well with the actors and decided to abandon the project.
So Aamir asked the casting directors if Imran would fit in to the role, and the makers though it was a great idea to cast them together. Now the movie ‘Peekay’ will see the uncle nephew pair share the screen for the first time. The movie is about exposing the godmen in the country, while the script had made the rounds of the industry for the younger guys’s role which has eventually bagged by Imran.
