Stars catch special screening of Raees
Despite all the controversy surrounding Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Raees’, celebrities from Bollywood came out in support and attended the special screening held in Mumbai on January 24, 2017. The attendees of the screening included Akshara Haasan, Dino Morea, Atul Kasbekar, Farhan Akhtar, Chunky Pandey, Daisy Shah, Riteish Sidhwani, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Kunal Kohli, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Dabboo Ratnani, Chetan Bhagat, Saiyami Kher, Shakeel Ladak and others.
The makers of the movie ‘Raees’ with the lead cast had a train trip from Mumbai to Delhi which met with tragedy on the way at Vadodara station where a man lost his life due to a stampede like situation. Shahrukh expressed his grief over the incident and made sure that adequate arrangements were made for the family of the deceased.
There was a section who criticized the move by the makers to promote the movie on train but the movie surely got plenty of attention and even support from fans. Shahrukh on his train journey was accompanied by producer Ritesh Sidhwani, Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber.
The movie is directed by Rahul Dholakia and has hit the theatres on January 25, 2017. Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Raees’ has clashed with Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Kaabil’ at the box office.
Both films are riding on two of Bollywood’s biggest stars – who do you think will win this round? Shahrukh’s last film, Fan was a box office disappointment, but maybe Raees will do the honors and win big.
