Day one at the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017 saw some spectacular collections from some of the talented designers. Designer Amit Aggarwal showcased his collection at the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017 with several celebrities supporting his fashion show!
Creations by Aggarwal involved use of unconventional industrial material. The show saw the presence of Bollywood actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal, who cheered for the designer. Kajal was seen in a black outfit by Aggarwal’s AM.IT line while Tamannaah looked gorgeous in a strapless outfit from Amit Aggarwal’s line.
Aggarwal while talking about his collection said, “When we talk about being pro-environment, it’s not only about going organic. There are so many by-products of technology and industries that can be incorporated intelligently into your design.” The collection saw a series of 25 to 30 ensembles in traditional Patola like rust, wine, olive, khaki, ink blue, mustard and similar metallic tones.
Amit has earlier dressed some of the Bollywood celebrities like Dia Mirza, Karisma Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Nargis Fakhri. The designer at the event said that engaging with Bollywood for fashion label is always an interesting affair. Amit added that a celebrity in their clothes is a role model for a whole lot of women who wish to dress new and fresh.
The designer opined that there has been a major change in the fashion scene in India and that the fashion fraternity has taken forward the legacy of Indian bridal couture by mixing it with fresh techniques and cuts. Amit has also said that the designers these days are making use of new techniques and silhouettes every season, inspired from a sari or lehenga to give the audience some fresh options to wear at wedding occasions.
