Poonam Pandey’s stripping request gets turned down by BCCI

Bollywood Garam: In some disappointing news for those who were waiting for Kingfisher model Poonam Pandey to strip, the BCCI has turned down the bold request of the model to go nude. Now that she has been officially declined, Poonam will not venture into the stripping act any more, and many say there is no need, since India has won the World Cup and don’t need any ‘motivation’.

The 20-year-old had written a letter to BCCI through her manager,  in which she had requested them to allow her to strip her clothes in front of the Indian Cricket Team, if they won the 2011 ICC World Cup. After the Indians won the World Cup, the model had said that she would keep her promise and would be ready to strip after the BCCI permits her.

Poonam had even requested the BCCI to select another country for the strip session, as nudity is an offence in India. The model in an interview said that she wanted to make it a fun session but everything took an ugly turn.

Pandey said that she couldn’t have just hit the road without clothes – as many models in European countries have done in the past. She added that she was threatened through phone calls and this was when she decided to switch off her cell phone. The Kingfisher calendar model said that she had went underground but did not runaway from the city.

Poonam will now soon be seen in the fourth season of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.
