Kangana Ranaut appeals for women to give priority to their health
Bollywood’s controversy-friendly actress, Kangana Ranaut flagged off the fifth edition of the Max Bupa Walk for Health event in Mumbai on February 12, 2017. The ‘Queen’ actress looked chic in a white outfit with a denim jacket.
Kangana, in a statement said, “It’s a myth that staying fit is expensive and complicated. It’s actually not. What you just need to do is take out 30 minutes from your daily life and dedicate it to walking,” The actress while talking about her fitness mantra said that she ensures that her workout includes walking as it helps to enhance one’s mental, emotional and physical health.
Kangana, at the event appealed to all the women,
“I want to specially tell all women out there that while you juggle different roles, don’t neglect your health”.
Thousands of participants turned up for the 5 kilometer walk for adults and 2 kilometer walk for children and senior citizens. The event saw people from various walks of life including health enthusiasts. There were mothers, dabbawalas, Instagrammers, Mumbai Photowalk, Streets of Mumbai and others.
Ashish Mehrotra, the Managing Director and CEO of Max Bupa said, “The initiative mirrors our commitment to shake people from this inertia and encourage them to walk towards a healthier, more successful life.”
On the work front, Kangana is currently preparing for the release of her upcoming movie ‘Rangoon’ which also stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The movie is all set to hit theatres on February 24, 2017. Kangana has proved herself as one of the finest actors in the country by winning a National Award back to back for the last two years for her movies ‘Queen’ in 2014 and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ in 2015.
