Kalki Koechlin talks about Mantra and its genre
Actors Kalki Koechlin and Shiv Pandit launched the trailer of the upcoming movie ‘Mantra’ at an event in Mumbai on February 22, 2017. The movie also stars Rajat Kapoor, who was also present at the event.

While the older generation was quite traditional, the new generation wanted freedom.” The actress, added that she has grown up during this that time so can understand the rebellious phase.
Kalki also said that the movie has a relevant subject for everyone and is suitable for the current generation as well. The movie is inspired by the takeover of a popular Indian brand by a multinational. Rajat Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Kapil Kapoor, the owner of King Chips and will be seen fighting a battle against the multinational giant Kipper Crisps.
On the other hand, Kapil’s wife and his three children can also be seen facing a tough time during the time of such turmoil. Kalki will be seen playing Kapil’s daughter. The actress also said that she is happy that ‘Mantra’ is finally releasing as they shot for the movie two years back and struggled a lot for finance that was arranged through crowd-funding. Kalki, during the event was asked what was her mantra in life to which she said, “Do better, keep learning. The more you learn, the more you live”. The upcoming movie is directed by Nicholas Kharkongar and also stars Lushin Dubey, Rohan Joshi and Adil Hussain. ‘Mantra’ is all set to hit theatres on March 17, 2017.
