Lead actors get busy with Phillauri promotions
Actors Anushka Sharma, Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada promoted their upcoming movie Phillauri at an event in Mumbai on March 16, 2017. The movie has been in news even before the release of its trailer for its unique concept, which has so far not been shown on the big screen.
Anushka can be seen playing the role of a friendly ghost named Shashi. The actress looked great in a casual outfit of yellow bottoms and a match black, white and yellow top, coupled with sneakers and was seen with her co-stars Mehreen and Suraj. Mehreen looked pretty in a black lacy outfit while Suraj was seen in a black t-shirt, jacket and denims.
Anushka looked all excited for her second production venture. After tasting success in the thriller genre, the actress has ventured in to comedy. The movie Phillauri is set with the backdrop of the rural areas of Punjab, where an NRI boy, Kanan is ready to get married to his childhood friend. Since there are some defects in his horoscope, he is forced to get married to a tree first. This is when the friendly ghost, Shashi enters and claims that Kanan is married to her now.
Suraj, during an interview was all praises for Anushka as an actor and as the movie’s producer. The actor said that while working with Anushka, he did not feel like he was working with some big name, as she is an A-lister in the industry.
Phillauri is directed by Anshai Lal and produced by Anushka and Karnesh Sharma. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on March 24, 2017.
