New characters and the same old flavor of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai marks the beginning of a new season on HotStar
The wait is finally over and the first episode of the much awaited Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai Take 2 has premiered on the video streaming site HotStar on May 15, 2017. Writer Aatish Kapadia and producer J.D. Majethia have made the perfect blend by retaining the old spices and adding a few new characters and elements on the show.
The first episode Monisha Ki Mannat begins with the entire Sarabhai family stuck on the edge of a cliff in a bus. The nagging between Monisha Sarabhai and Maya Sarabhai continues as Maya blames Monisha of the situation they are in. In the earlier season Monisha was fond of watching the TV soap Uska Pati Sirf Mera Hai but the new season shows Rosesh, who is now a part of a TV series known as Bahu Macchar, Beta Khacchar.
Rosesh has fallen in love with a Gujarati girl, Jasmine Mavani, who is also a distant relative of the Sarabhais. The makers introduced Dushyant in a unique way when Indravardhan’s phone rings at 2am and the name on his phone reads I’ll Explain. Madhu Bhai introduces Jasmine to Rosesh, who instantly falls in love with her. Jasmine has the perfect Gujarati-English accent. However, Maya does not approve of Rosesh falling for the down-market Gujarati girl. The most interesting addition to the series is Sahil and Monisha’s son Arnab, who is the perfect blend of Monisha, Indravardhan and Rosesh. One of the funny moments was when Maya and Indravardhan enter Sahil’s messy house to see Arnab eating popcorn in a pressure cooker and watching Saas Bahu shows.
Funny poems by Rosesh , tangy arguments between Maya and Monisha and a pre-cap of the next episode sums up the grand premiere. With a hilarious first episode, the upcoming episodes are surely going to be entertaining.
