Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor – who recently got married to the star Saif Ali Khan – has finally changed her last name. For a long time, Kareena was looking for a name change and now she has done it and added Khan after her maiden name. As of now, Kareena will be known as Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The star’s big change was revealed during the trailer launch for her latest movie ‘Satyagraha’, when the new name flashed as Kareena Kapoor Khan. The ‘Jab We Met’ actress got married to Saif who is Muslim by religion. After the wedding ceremony, Bollywood predicted that she might change her name.
There were also rumors present that Kareena would change her name like Saif’s mother, Sharmila Tagore, a Bengali bride who married Tiger Pataudi, who was a Muslim and then she changed her name to Ayesha Sultana. However, Kareena did not change her religion after marriage and was called by her paternal title only.
Saif and Kareena went for a registered marriage first, which was later followed by a traditional dinner. Until now, she was known by her original name, but it was only recently revealed that she changed her name to Kareena Kapoor Khan.
