Indian actor Sonu Sood has become the coronavirus pandemic induced lockdown hero. The actor during the complete lockdown period had helped thousands of migrants reach their respective homes as the public transportation was shut down completely. Sood has now made a new announcement and has pledged to help the families of the deceased or injured migrants for them to have a secure future.
The actor announced that he will be supporting about 400 families of migrants who passed away or were injured and added that it feels like his personal responsibility to help them. It has been reported that the actor tried to reach out to a number of authorities in different states including those in the states of Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for addresses and bank details of the family members of the migrants who died or have been injured.
Sonu Sood is otherwise known for playing negative roles in films but has emerged as a hero for many people in real lives. The actor during the lockdown had arranged for food, travel by buses, trains and even flights for the stranded migrants from different parts of the country.
