The state of Maharashtra is experiencing a big second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. The city of Mumbai is steadily decreasing in terms of the everyday cases, but still at least 4000 people are getting infected everyday for the virus. Due to this the healthcare systems are falling short of beds for the patients but since then authorities have been trying their best to increase the infrastructure and facilities. Indian actor Ajay Devgn along with a few colleagues from the industry has joined hands and has donated to the BMC to erect a COVID ICU at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.

The facility will be managed by the doctors of Hinduja Hospital and will be equipped with oxygen support, para monitors and ventilators. COO Of Hinduja Hospital Joy Chakraborty informed that it will be an extension of Hinduja and that the food, medicine and manpower will be provided by the management.

Vishakha Raut, the local corporator has said that the actor has supported to erect a temporary facility and appreciated his gesture. Raut added that it was essential as the hospital itself was packed to capacity and there was a need for ICU beds.

On the work front, Ajay Devgn was last seen in the film Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior and is now all set to be seen in the upcoming film Bhuj – The Pride Of India.
