Bollywood Garam: Bollywood actress Genelia D’Souza has landed herself in legal trouble. The Saifabad police have been directed by the court to book a case against the ‘Force’ actress, who is the brand ambassador of a real estate firm along with its directors.
The case has been booked as the real estate company has failed to construct a duplex house for a customer. Ch.Tirupathaiah, who is a retired sanitary inspector who paid Rs. 48 lakhs against the actual price of Rs. 54 lakhs, in order to purchase a duplex house at Kalvakol Village in Maheshwaram.
But the real estate firm, also known as the Anjani Puthra Infrastructure Private Limited, failed to construct the house. The complainant has also claimed that the actress is also one of the directors of the firm.
The advocate of the complainant revealed that when the forum came to know that the customer had approached the consumer forum, one of the directors promised that he would return the money shortly. But after a few days later, the director started threatening the client of dire consequences if he demanded money. The Safabad police have been directed to file a case under sections, 420 cheating, 406 criminal breach of trust and 506 criminal intimidation.
