Families of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan turn up to show support

Makers of the movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ hosted the premier screening of the film in Mumbai on March 6, 2017. The screening saw the presence of a number of prominent Bollywood personalities. Producer Karan Johar looked happy, fresh off becoming a father to twins. Rapper Badshah, who is responsible for the remixed version of the class Madhuri Dixit track, ‘Tamma Tamma’ also turned up.

Those in attendance included actress Anushka Sharma, designer Manish Malhotra, Divya Khosla, Bhushan Kumar, Ali Fazal, Jugal Hansraj and Sanya Malhotra, among others.

Lead pair, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt attended the event, surrounded by their families who came in support of their latest film together. Famed filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and father of Alia, arrived along with this wife, Sohni Razdan and Shaheen Bhatt. David Dhawan was also in attendance in support of Varun. And Varun’s rumored girlfriend, Natasha Dala also made her presence felt, though she stayed in the background, only obliging paparazzi who wanted a photograph of the hero’s real-life beau.

Both Varun and Alia have been continuously promoting ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ on social media and at different venues across the country for a number of weeks now, leading up to the release of the film. Alia had spoken earlier in an interview about the promotions for the movie, where she said, “I enjoy singing although right now my schedule is crazy. It’s so hectic that I don’t even get to sleep at night. The idea is to reach out to everyone across the country, down to the remotest corner. ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is a film that you can’t box down to one particular audience, it’s a universal entertainer.” Both actors had shared earlier about their fresh ideas on promoting their film, and that they have taken on that responsibility themselves, rather than hiring an outsider.

‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is the sequel to the successful ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and is set to release in theatres this Holi weekend, on March 10, 2017.
