This movie is going to be Sridevi’s 300th film from her career which spans over 50 years!

MOM also stars Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Ali in lead roles and it’s story line is still being kept under wraps for now. Supporting cast includes Abhimanyu Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Pitobash Tripathi and others. While Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in a cameo in the movie.

Moving on to the poster launch, Sridevi looked like a vision in a Manish Malhotra beige – golden anarkali, paired with a statement neckpiece from Amrapali and a heavily embroidered jhola. The diva took to stage to talk about her next film, along with Salman khan who joined her a bit later on stage.

MOM’s poster was officially released to the world through Sridevi’s Twitter account two days later, and co-incidentally strikes a stark resemblance to Raveena Tandon’s come back movie, Maatr’s poster (which was released much later.) While the visuals and graphics are completely different, the theme is pretty much the same.

Both lead actresses can be seen in intense expressions on the poster and both posters feature the word ‘mother’, written in several different languages, superimposing the lead character’s face. It will be interesting to see how the two films compete with each other and fare once they’re released.

Stay tuned for more updates on Sridevi’s MOM exclusively on Bollywood Garam. The flick releases on July 14, 2017!
