Filmmaker Indra Kumar clarified that they have amicably parted ways with Sanjay Dutt but Riteish Deshmukh will be a part of Total Dhamaal

Bollywood Actor Sanjay Dutt is back to work after fulfilling his jail term. Apart from his come-back movie Bhoomi, the actor has a number of projects in hand which are due to release in 2017 and 2018. Dutt, who was also a part of the Dhamaal franchise, had reportedly opted out of the third installment due to be made. Reports had cited that the actor could not be roped in due to date issues but a source from a leading tabloid has mentioned that Sanjay had walked out of the film due to its adult content.

Sources close to the production house had revealed that Sanjay was not comfortable with the genre of adult comedy as he did not want his children to see him in a film which has double meaning jokes. There were also reports that actor Riteish Deshmukh has also walked out of the franchise. This was when the director Indra Kumar came out with a clarification and said that they have amicably parted ways from Sanjay Dutt but Riteish continues to be a part of the franchise.

Indra Kumar said, “While the news is true that we have parted amicably with Sanju for the film, I further want to clarify that Riteish is very much a part of the superhit franchise and there is absolutely no adult content in Total Dhamaal. Total Dhamaal is an out and out family entertainer, just like Dhamaal and Double Dhamaal!”

Sanjay has a number of projects in hand including Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi, in which he will be seen playing the role of a father to Aditi Rao Hydari. The actor has also been roped in for Torbaaz, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and another project with Ajay Devgn. Upcoming film Bhoomi, was earlier expected to be released in August, 2017 but the release date has now been postponed to September 2017.
