Indian actor Ajay Devgn’s father Veeru Devgn passed away at a private hospital in Mumbai on May 27, 2019. Veeru was a popular action director and was admitted to the Surya Hospital in Santacruz as he complained of breathlessness in the morning. As per reports the director later suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away.
Devgn has helmed the film Hindustan Ki Kasam released in 1999 and starred his son Ajay, AMitabh Bachchan, Manisha Koirala and Sushmita Sen. Veeru has been a successful action director and has choreographed fight scenes fir more than 80 Hindi flicks and some of the popular ones include Dilwale releasedin 1994, Himmatwala released in 1983 and Shehenshah released in 1988.
The funeral will be held in the evening on May 27, 2019 and will be cremated at the Vile Parle Crematorium at 6 PM. Ajay had cancelled a few promotional activities of his recently released film De De Pyaar De in the past 15 days. Veeru Devgn was last seen in the public attending the screening of the film Total Dhamaal which starred Ajay.
Ajay on the work front was last seen in the film De De Pyaar De and is currently looking forward for a number of films to be released in 2019 and 2020. His last film Total Dhamaal did an average business at the box office.
