TV actress Disha Vakani had quit the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and is yet to return to the show. Later actress Nidhi Bhanushali, who played the role of Sonu Bhide, also quit the show saying that she wanted to concentrate on her studies. Nidhi left the show and the episodes mentioned that she had been outstation for some training. But now the makers have found a new actor to play the role of Sonu. Palak Sidhwani has bagged the role and will soon be seen on the show as the new Sonu.
Nidhi had earlier replaced Jheel Mehta as Sonu in 2012. Reports say that Palak has already started shooting for the show and for the past few episodes, the characters have been discussing about Sonu’s return. On the other hand Palak says that she is yet to get a confirmation from the makers. The actress has said that she has only did a mock shoot so far.
Palak while talking to a leading daily said, “I haven’t got any confirmation from the makers. I did a mock shoot day before yesterday and I am waiting for the revert”. Meanwhile, Disha Vakani, who played the role of Dayaben on the show has not yet returned after she took a maternity break.
For now the makers are yet to rope in a new actor for the role of Dayaben.
