Bollywood celebrities have come forward amidst the lockdown to help people who are facing a hard time during the nationwide lockdown in India. People who are affected the most are the daily wage workers who depend on their work for their bread and butter. After Salman Khan, young Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has pledged to provide free meals for the frontline workers, medical staff and doctors. Apart from the healthcare workers, Varun has also assured that he would provide food for the poor people for a week who are at home without jobs.

The Sui Dhaaga actor has earlier pledged a total of Rs. 55 lakhs towards the PM cares Fund and the Maharashtra Chief Minister relief fund. Varun through a post on the social media appreciated the medical staff and doctors who are working tirelessly to treat the COVID-19 patients while risking their own lives. The actor also mentioned about the poor people who do not have jobs during the lockdown.

Varun Dhawan also keeps urging people through social media to follow the guidelines of the government officials and WHO while stepping out only when it is essential. On the work front, the actor is all set to be seen in the upcoming film Coolie No. 1 which is the remake of the Govinda starrer with the same name. Varun will be seen opposite Sara Ali Khan.
