Salman Khan granted a gun license for self-defense


Indian actor Salman Khan and his father have constantly been receiving death threats through a number of sources and the police has also been informed about it. Salim Khan had received a death threat through a letter that was found by his security team. Latest reports have now confirmed that Salman Khan has been issued a gun license for self-protection as the threats continue.

More reports had earlier mentioned that Salman has also upgraded his Land Cruiser to be bullet proof. The reports about issuance of a license was confirmed by senior IPS officer, who said that the application was sent to the office of deputy commissioner of police for verification and to check criminal record.

The officials added that after the document verification and background check was cleared and looking in to the seriousness of the situation, the police headquarters cleared the file. A representative of Salman had reportedly collected the license from the firearm license branch at the police headquarters.

On the work front, Salman is working on the project Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali by Farhad Samji which also stars Pooja Hegde. He is also looking forward for the releases of other projects including Ved, Tiger 3, No Entry Mein Entry and Godfather. Salman was last seen in the film Antim which also starred Aayush Sharma.
