Popular TV actor Ronit Roy who was recently arrested in an accident case, in which four members of the family were injured, has been released on bail. Roy after the incident had admitted the members of the family to the hospital in Mumbai and then had fled from the hospital and then surrendered to the police.
The actor had met with an accident after a Diwali party in the early hours of the morning in which he had rammed in to a Wagon R which had a family, who was on their way to Matheran. However, Roy had said that it wasn’t his mistake and that the driver of the Wagon R was on the wrong side.
After medical tests conducted on the actor it was found that he was under the influence of alcohol. Roy also runs a security agency in the city which provides security to the high profile people in the city.
According to the police the actor has been charged for rash and negligent driving under the Indian Penal Code. The actor was also present at the court in front of the magistrate after his arrest. Roy was granted bail. V Rathod, the police inspector of the Amboli police station has said that further investigations in the case are on.
