Nawazuddin Siddiqui reveals he’s 16.66% all religions and 100% artist
Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has recently shared a powerful video which explains what his true religion is. In times when the world is torn between polarized views and violence surrounding religious opinion, this video puts down his message in simple terms and starts with a line saying – “I got my DNA tested and this is what I found…”
The video starts with Nawazuddin holding placards revealing the finds of his DNA test. He goes on to reveal that he is 16.66% Muslim, 16.66% Hindu, 16.66% Christian, 16.66% Sikh, 16.66% Buddhist and 16.66% other religions – adding up to ‘100% artist.’
While the video is short and simple, on watching it you will realize that it has many layers. The video not only attempt to bridge the religious divide across the world but also conveys a message that an artist is not bound by any religion or faith. The actor drives the point home like no one else!
This video comes almost a week after singer Sonu Nigam kicked up a storm with his series of tweets against the alleged cacophony caused by Azaan in the morning.
Talking about Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s career, he is at an all time high and his upcoming project Manto, directed by Nandita Das has piqued everyone’s interests. The actor has featured in many successful movie including Haraamkhor, Badlapur, Gangs Of Wasseypur, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Kahaani and Talaash. The 42 year old actor definitely found the right balance between content driven films and star blockbusters as he has an interesting string of films lined up for 2017 which include Chandamama Door Ke, Munna Michael, Mom, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz and Manto.
