Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play female lead in Sanjay Gupta’s next.
Fans need not wait any longer, as Bollywood’s brand ambassador Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s has finally decided on her comeback film. The actress who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’ (2010) will begin shooting for Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’ in January 2015. The film is also slated to be showcased at the Cannes film festival later in the year.
Once the highest paid actress in the Bollywood film fraternity, the former Miss World was on an extended maternity leave for 4 years. Ash had signed up for Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’, but she had to abandon the project mid -way owing to her pregnancy. Her shoes were later filled in by actress Kareena Kapoor.
Reports were speculating that the ‘Devdas’ actress might also be seen in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming Tamil movie. Director Sanjay Gutpa however seems to be thrilled at the opportunity to work with the stunning wife of Abhishek Bachchan. The filmmaker confirmed reports on Twitter and said that the Bachchan bahu will be playing the dynamic female lead in his upcoming action thriller ‘Jazbaa’.
The filmmaker has earlier made movies like ‘Kaante’, ‘Shootout at Wadala’ and ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’.
